The Swistak family purchased the present day farm in 1950 and ran it as a small dairy farm for approximately 20 years.  In 1967 Paul Swistak planted his first sweet corn, followed by strawberries in 1982, and then blueberries in 1985.  The family continued to expand its operation by adding more vegetables, increasing acreage, and then adding a farm stand.  The farm delivered fresh picked fruits and vegetables to many local produce venues including a long time partnership with Price Chopper from 1984 - 2010 when Paul decided to devote his time and efforts to the farm's U-Pick operations and the farm stand itself.
Swistak Farm specializes in U-Pick strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, and peppers.  The farm grows a large assortment of fresh picked vegetables available at the farm stand when in season.
